A Message from Riley

Why This Isn't Your Typical Therapy Practice

Welcome to Indy Back In Balance. If you've tried massage, chiropractic, or physical therapy without lasting results, you're in the right place. We implement both mechanical protocols and nervous system–based care to address the actual structural cause of your pain—not just manage symptoms.

This 2-minute video gives you an overview of Indy Back In Balance — the range of services we offer, our approach to root-cause care, and what to expect in your first session. Have questions after watching? Reach out using the form below.

Our Mission

Indianapolis's Destination for Therapeutic Bodywork & Mechanical Therapy

Indy Back In Balance was founded with the goal of becoming Indianapolis's premier destination for therapeutic bodywork and mechanical therapy. Riley Burris is a 2013 graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School and a 2017 graduate of Indiana University. After discovering that a career in business wasn't her true calling, Riley pursued her education in massage therapy in Austin, Texas — then moved back home to Indianapolis to treat clients using this discipline.

As a former varsity athlete, Riley understands that building and maintaining muscle strength requires not only building muscle but allowing the muscles time to recover. A spa massage is vastly different from clinical, therapeutic bodywork. Her clients include competitive athletes, people rebuilding muscle tone after physical therapy or surgery, and everyday exercisers who sometimes back off due to muscle soreness — when what they really need is professional recovery support.
